“Cine Paris Reopens in Plaka: A Cinematic Revival Under the Acropolis”

Cine Paris: The iconic open-air cinema in Plaka reopens in May, bringing movies to life under the Acropolis. After 4 years of closure, it returns renovated, promising unforgettable cinematic experiences.

Following its renovation and the interruption of its operation in 2020, the emblematic open-air cinema in Plaka, Cine Paris, is set to reopen. The summer movie theater terrace in Plaka will reopen its doors on Friday, May 10th, with the film “Never on Sunday” by Jules Dassin. See the program for the first days here.

“I believe that the venue, as it reopens, will offer beautiful moments and screen very good movies. It was sad to see this terrace empty, and I feel proud that Cinobo managed to take this step. The truth is that the Opera needed it more; Cine Paris would never remain unused. However, I am glad we got it because we can bring the cinema that deserves to this historic venue, to this location. The choice of the program is crucial in such a place, as is any renovation to be done with respect to the space,” stated Daphne Bechtsi, CEO of Cinobo, which manages it, to LiFO.
