In a compelling display of sailing expertise, the Hellenic Sailing Federation is on the brink of hosting a prestigious event, once known as Eurolymp: the 33rd Athens International Sailing Week 2024.
Kicking off on November 22 and running for a full week, the event promises to be one of the largest in recent history. The competition will unfold in two distinct phases: from November 22 to 24, races will feature the Development categories, while the Olympic classes will compete from November 25 to 29, coinciding with the national championships.
The meticulous preparations by the Hellenic Sailing Federation have involved collaboration with six local sailing clubs, ensuring that the races take place in top-notch conditions across their waters.

Race venuesย are set, with theย Nautical Club of Vouliagmeniย hosting theย Techno 293ย andย 293 Plus classes, theย Nautical Club of Kalamakiย welcoming theย Optimist class, and theย Nautical Club of Palaio Faliroย featuring theย 420s,ย 49ers, andย 470 mixed classes. Theย Nautical Club of Voulaย will see competition in theย ILCA 4, ILCA 6ย for men and women, andย ILCA 7 classes, while theย Nautical Club of Vari-Varkizaย will host theย iQFOiLย classes. Theย NASย will showcase theย Lightning class.
The call for participants has already sparked interest, with sailors from Germany, Hungary, Cyprus, and Turkey among those confirming their attendance.
With an estimated 450 boats and around 500 athletes expected to participate, the 33rd Athens International Sailing Week is poised to be an exhilarating spectacle for sailing enthusiasts and athletes alike.
