This time, the Youth Drama Club of the Sino-Hellenic Performing Arts Alliance is set to grandly present the ancient Greek classic tragedy “ELECTRA.” This production, performed entirely in English, integrates international elements into ancient Greek classics, delivering audiences a captivating time-traveling audio-visual feast through innovative presentation styles.
“ELECTRA” is produced by the Sino-Hellenic Performing Arts Alliance and directed by the renowned Greek stage actor and director Marianthi Kyriou. Winnie Liu, who previously enchanted audiences as the White Snake in “The Legend of the White Snake•Remix,” takes on the role of producer for this production. Following the success of White Snake•Remix, “ELECTRA” is poised to become another masterpiece of the Sino-Hellenic Performing Arts Alliance.
This timeless play by the ancient Greek tragic poet Sophocles is renowned for its profound themes, intricate character relationships, and intense emotional conflicts, ensuring its lasting appeal to audiences worldwide. This reenactment aims to honor the rich heritage of ancient Greek culture while showcasing its enduring artistic charm. Through this unique form of drama, the production fosters in-depth exchanges and integration between Chinese and Greek cultures.

The cast is composed of Chinese youths in Greece who share a passionate love for drama. Although they may not be professional actors, their dedication and enthusiasm promise a unique performance that reflects a profound exploration of culture, art, and emotion.
